Jamie Blackport, Chairman of the Board & co-founder

Investor, exited founder, and former ceo of Mirador Analytics. JB brings his deep passion for protecting patient privacy and driving data-driven innovation to Firinn, where we are solving the issue of trust in the data and technology fields. His knowledge of data exchange, challenges in data use rights, and data usage, guides our aim to enable data and AI usage by building solutions that create trust in the network.

Our Story

Our co-founders Jamie Blackport “JB” and Jamie Gray “JG” have collaborated together for over ten years to build solutions and positive change in healthcare data, compliance, and data privacy markets.
They are probably best known for founding Mirador Analytics (part of Datavant since 2021), which transformed the industry approach to HIPAA Expert Determination.

Reflecting on what clients valued and loved most about past endeavours, the common thread went far beyond the core offerings, “The Jamie’s” helped unlock data, unlock use cases, and unlock growth. Their reputation for knowledge, honesty, and integrity was used by customers and partners as a trusted third-party catalyst to exchanging and using data.
The key to unlocking it all? “Trust”

This provided the foundations for Firinn, a catalyst for trust that instilled confidence, provided validation, and delivered assurances in data use and exchange.
Experience early advisory and design input instills confidence, third-party assessment strengthens validation, and ongoing monitoring provides a safety net and assurances in protecting data.
These core principles become ever more critical with AI and data use advancements, as both areas are under increasing scrutiny from regulations, enforcements, and the public eye.

Grounded in our core principles, we set out to build our first product, Firinn’s Data Rights and Obligations Platform.

Managing Data Rights and obligations helps the ecosystem scale trust. Our experience, industry knowledge gives us the ability to lead the way in it.

Where does the story go from here?

We expect change in how people perceive the criticality of data rights and obligations in protecting patient privacy and also shift the expectations they hold of their own firms, and of partners.

Stay tuned. Or better yet, get involved.
